Trains to and from Santa Ana John Wayne Airport (SNA)

Upon arrival at John Wayne Airport (SNA), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, rideshares, hotel shuttle services, and buses.

Although there are no train stations at the airport, there are available train connections in Santa Clara, 16 kilometers away.

The nearest train stations to the airport are Irvine, Santa Ana, and Tustin.

To ride any train, you'll have to transfer to Santa Ana Train Station, since it is the closest Greyhound stop to the airport.

Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center

Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center is a passenger rail station and transportation center in Santa Ana, California.

It is used by Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner and Metrolink's Orange County Line, and Inland Empire–Orange County Line trains.

It is also a Greyhound station and a hub for the Orange County Transportation Authority bus system, and a terminal for international bus services to Mexico.

Metrolink Orange County Line (Irvine Station)

The Orange County Line is a commuter rail line run by Metrolink from Los Angeles through Orange County to Oceanside in San Diego County, connecting with the Coaster commuter rail service to San Diego.

The Orange County Line carries passengers to the primary Metrolink hub at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, as well as to many attractions in Orange County, including the Knott's Berry Farm area, Angel Stadium of Anaheim and the Honda Center, the Disneyland Resort, Old Town Orange, Santa Ana Zoo, Mission San Juan Capistrano and many more.

In San Diego County, it serves the Oceanside Pier and Camp Pendleton.

Under Amtrak operation, the Orange County Commuter stopped at the following stations: Los Angeles, Commerce, Fullerton, Anaheim–Stadium, Orange, Santa Ana, Irvine, and San Juan Capistrano.

With the Metrolink takeover in 1994, the southern terminus moved to Oceanside. Five infill stations were added: San Clemente and Norwalk/Santa Fe Springs in 1995, Tustin and Laguna Niguel/​Mission Viejo in 2002, and Buena Park in 2007.

Metrolink offers a Weekend Day Pass for only $10.00. This pass allows a passenger to ride anytime, anywhere system-wide on Saturday or Sunday.

Metrolink Station (Tustin)

Tustin is a Metrolink train station in Tustin, California, United States. The station is in a shopping plaza at the intersection of Jamboree Road and Edinger Avenue.

OCTA Routes 70, 90, 472, and 473 serve this station.

The City of Irvine's iShuttle also services the station during peak commute hours. Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner passes through the station at 90 mph (140 km/h) and does not stop in Tustin.

The nearest stations served by Amtrak are Irvine and Santa Ana.

Metrolink

Metrolink is a commuter rail system in Southern California consisting of seven lines and 62 stations operating on an 859-kilometer rail network.

The system operates in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties, as well as in Oceanside in San Diego County.

It connects with the Los Angeles County Metro Rail and Metro Busway system, the San Diego Coaster commuter rail and Sprinter light rail services, and with Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner, Coast Starlight, Southwest Chief, Sunset Limited, and Texas Eagle intercity rail services.

Metrolink owns several hundred miles of rail; however, it also shares some tracks with freight trains.

The system, founded in 1991 as the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) and adopting "Metrolink" as its moniker, started operation in 1992.

In addition to suburban communities and cities, Metrolink also serves several points of interest such as Downtown Los Angeles, Burbank, Hollywood Burbank Airport, California State University, Los Angeles, Angel Stadium of Anaheim, and the San Clemente Pier.

Special service has also been extended to the Pomona Fairplex, the Ventura County Fairgrounds, and the Auto Club Speedway for certain events.

The Pacific Surfliner

The Pacific Surfliner is a 560-kilometer passenger train service serving the communities on the coast of Southern California between San Diego and San Luis Obispo.

It is Amtrak's third-busiest service, the Northeast Corridor. Like all regional trains in California, the Pacific Surfliner is operated by a joint power authority.

The Los Angeles – San Diego – San Luis Obispo (LOSSAN) contracts with the Orange County Transportation Authority to provide day-to-day management of the service and contracts with Amtrak to operate the service and maintain the rolling stock (locomotives and passenger cars).

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) provides the funding to operate the service and also owns all of the locomotives and some of the rolling stock; with Amtrak owning the rest.
