Miami International Airport Parking

Miami International Airport provides parking facilities for its passengers. Accessible parking and free parking areas are also provided.

The facility is open 24/7.

Paying with a Credit Card will be more convenient for customers, but cash payments are accepted at both facilities. Rates include taxes and fees.

The Quick Pay stations in the parking garages allow passengers and visitors to prepay for parking before reaching the airport exit lane.

After parking, customers need to take their parking ticket and then use a self-service station to pay when ready to leave the garage. When customers get to the airport exit lane, they will insert the pre-paid ticket into the reader and be allowed to exit within seconds.

The parking guidance system helps customers locate open parking spots inside the parking garages. A green light indicates an available parking spot, while a red light indicates an occupied spot. Digital signage also lets customers know the real-time availability of parking spots on each floor.

Finally, it is ideal to take a picture of the number/letter on the pole closest to your parking spot to help you remember your parking location when returning to the airport.

Dolphin Garage

• Each 20-minute increment, $2.00

Serves North Terminals D and E. Use this area when flying American Airlines, British Airways, JetBlue, and Qatar Airways.

Flamingo Garage

• Each 20-minute increment, $2.00
• Maximum Daily Rate, $17.00

Serves central terminals F and G and terminals H and J south. Use this area when flying all other airlines.

All vehicles parked in the garage are limited to a maximum stay of 60 days, except where “no overnight parking” is indicated.

Vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense after 60 days.

High-rise vehicles may use the “tall vehicle” surface parking area located next to the east side of the Dolphin (North) garage. For more information, call 305-876-0288.

Valet Parking

Offering the closest parking in MIA, Valet service offers the convenience of not worrying about where to park. It is located in Salidas, on the second level of the Dolphin (North) and Flamingo (South) garages.

Accessibility

Vehicles with handicapped and stroller permits may use accessible parking areas on the third level and the ground level of all garages.

Miami-Dade County ordinance requires all guests with a disabled parking permit or license plate to pay standard parking fees, except as provided by Florida state law.

Two hours of complimentary parking given to vehicles displaying a disabled parking permit or license plate.

When exiting, remember to use one of the green “EMV Cash/Credit Card” lanes where there is an attendant and inform them that you have a valid parking permit or license plate.

Cell Phone Standby Lot

This waiting lot offers 60 free spaces for private vehicles while waiting to pick someone up at the airport.

The lot is conveniently located just off LeJeune Road and NW 31 Street, accessible from LeJeune Road, north or south.

From the North: Take I-95 South to State Road 112 West. Exit at SR 953 LeJeune Road South. Turn right at the first light and stay in the cell phone lot.

From the South: Take State Highway 826 North OR the Florida Turnpike North to State Highway 836 East. Exit at SR 953 LeJeune Road North. Turn left onto 31st Street, and stay in the cell phone lot.

Electric Vehicles

Parking spaces for electric vehicle charging are available at the following locations: Arrivals 1st level, the inner loop between terminals E and G. 2nd level departures, valet parking in the Dolphin and Flamingo garages.

Parking tips at MIA

• Check airline locations to determine the best parking area.
• Leave home and plan to arrive at the airport at least an hour earlier. In that way, you can potentially avoid the likelihood of driving around looking for parking availability. It could also delay your arrival at the departure gate promptly.
• Check out the airport’s map. Before leaving for the airport, familiarize yourself with terminals, gates, access roads, and parking locations.
• When traveling with a piece of luggage, be mindful of the distance between the parking location and the terminal gates. Also, look if there are shuttle buses available in your vicinity.
• Especially during the long holidays, rush hour, and high travel seasons, vehicles at the parking area may cause a jam at the bottleneck at the security checking area and the airport gates.
• When there are lots of passengers, this also means that the airport shuttle services are slow and overcrowded, packed with people and their luggage.
• Unannounced security measures can also inconvenience your schedule, and it’s hard to prepare for them.
• Unannounced maintenance and construction work can mean detours that you will have to take to get to your parking spot at the airport.
• When traveling with your vehicle to the airport, provide enough time to account for possible delays on the road.
