Minneapolis St Paul International Airport Arrivals (MSP)

When you arrive at your Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport destination, you should remember three things. Following these simple tips can help ensure a stress-free travel experience.

First, familiarize yourself with the airport layout to know where your gate is and how to get there. Second, allow plenty of time for security checkpoints and possible delays.

Finally, make prior arrangements for ground transportation to your final destination.

Don't forget to retrieve your luggage and other personal belongings at the designated Baggage Claim area.

If you lose an item in the terminal, call Lost & Found at +1 612-726-5141.

Important Note:

Suppose you are arriving in the United States from an international destination. In that case, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security requires a full declaration of passengers' currency or monetary instruments.

International travelers coming into the United States must fill out a Customs Declaration Form (CBP Form 6059B) and a FinCEN Form 105 if they carry more than U.S. $10,000 in cash or other forms of money.

International travelers departing from the United States with currency or monetary instruments combined with over U.S. $10,000 must file a FinCEN Form 105 before departure.

You may file on paper or electronically on FinCEN Form 105 CMIR, U.S. Customs and Border Protection here: https://fincen105.cbp.dhs.gov.

How to Get Between Terminals 1 and 2

The light rail transit (LRT) service at MSP is free to use to get between the Airport's terminals.

Trains run between terminals around the clock, seven days a week, about every 10 minutes during rush hours and 15 minutes at other times of the day.

Inter-Terminal Shuttle Service for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)

Those who have mobility issues can take advantage of the MSP inter-terminal shuttle service, which provides a complimentary ride between terminals.

A complimentary shuttle service is available for those who may have difficulty using the Light Rail Transit system, such as the elderly, families with young children, and others with special needs.

The van has a wheelchair lift installed. This free service runs continuously and departs every 20 minutes.

  • Rideshares pick up passengers at the designated area near the Airport.
  • Riders can look for rideshare by getting the company's app on their phones and talking with their driver directly.
  • They can also request a ride a few days before their flight to avoid the inconvenience.
  • For added safety, ridesharing apps should let users verify the identity of drivers by checking out their faces, license plates, and colors.
