Buses to and from Honolulu International Airport (HNL)

Upon arrival at Honolulu International Airport (HNL), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, rideshares, hotel shuttle services, and buses.

Buses run every 30 minutes on the second-level roadway at Honolulu International Airport.

Fares

  • If a child sits on an adult’s lap (up to age 5), the ride is free
  • For children & students between the age of 6 and 17 years, $1.25
  • Adults pay $2.50
  • Senior Citizen with Reduced Fare card / valid US Medicare card: $1.00

Bus route 20

  • Airport - Waikiki / Airport - Pearlridge Shopping Center.

Eastbound route

  • Airport-Kalihi (via Nimitz Highway) - Downtown Honolulu - The Honolulu Civic Center - Ala Moana Shopping Center - Waikiki.

Westbound route

  • Airport - Arizona Memorial - Aloha Stadium - Aiea - Pearlridge Shopping Center.

Bus route 31

  • Tripler Medical Center-Kalihi Transit Center / Airport-Kalihi Transit Center.

Eastbound route

  • Tripler Medical Center - Kalihi Transit Center.

Westbound route

  • Airport - Kalihi Transit Center.

Other routes

  • Routes 9, 40, 40A, 42, and 62 are within the airport's walking distance.
