John F Kennedy Airport Departures (JFK)

JFK (John F. Kennedy) international airport is probably one of the busiest airports in the world today; last year it was specifically recorded that more than 2.6 million passengers checked in or checked out of the John F Kennedy international airport in a single calendar year. While this alone is a tantalizing statistic, people get more amused when they personally visit this mega air field and ultimately bask and behold the departure and arrival happen in utter unison. The latter is one complete movement, a wave pattern uninterrupted by superposition or any other disturbance for that matter.

To be honest, the administration of the John F. Kennedy international airport is probably in the top three airways service providing platforms and in this particular review we will specifically look at how a person when arrived on to the John F Kennedy international airport would leave the plane and make it through the specific lounges while ultimately checking himself out form the vicinity and making it towards a potential cab, subway or a bus.

The moment you land from the plane, it would be announced that the aircraft have touched the John F. Kennedy airport and the first batch of passengers, closest to the attached tunnel would be escorted towards the exit from the plane, mind you all readers that this is not out from the airport but instead you would be off from the plane only. Unfortunately if your seat number is in the rear end or towards the tail, your turn would eventually come about but to avail it you would have to wait a good 15-20 minutes since unloading three hundred plus passengers from a plane may take some time but eventually this would seem relatively less in the larger scheme of things that would about to be exclusively encountered by each individual themselves.

Once you are off from the air plane you would be guided to walk down a tunnel and while goring through the tunnel situated in the terminal that was attached earlier to the plane specifically, you would see a couple of signs indicating where particularly would you want to go. There are three options here, one is the waiting area where you could sit and relax: This area is primarily for people who are old or too young for that matter and duly after a long flight you could get tired and so hence rest on the comfortable seats provided. Another option marked are the food courts and fast food stalls that are opened 24/7 365 days a year if you after a long flight are hungry and want to have a quick snack then I guess you could go to one of these counters and enjoy a short meal.

The most important part that happens once you land is the fact that you have to go through immigration services. This is by default the place the terminal tunnel would lead you to straight to it and if you diverge from the path to rest or take a snack then only would you not go directly into immigration but apart from that the terminal tunnel directly leads to the immigration counter. There are two types of people who have to go through immigration, one are those who are with family and they kids or old age people who cannot manage with the formalities the immigration inquires about so if you are with a family then I guess the head or the person responsible of the lot would speak for the kids and elderly, all other family members would else be given pass individually. There is also relaxation for the disabled people and someone could explain it on their behalf if they are not traveling alone but even though there are ample facilities for people such as those on and off the plane as well, further students and tourist of sound mind and body have to go through immigration individually. All these implications apply only if you are not a resident or a citizen of the United States of America, so if you are: there is no such formality and you can directly walk through it without much hassle.

Once you are done with the services of immigration then I guess the all other process would seem easy and less time consumable, as through immigration at an average it takes about forty to sixty minutes alone since mostly the line of passengers is very long and also processing of individual passports consumes a lot of time itself. The next part is to take account of your luggage while if you are carrying it as a hand carry then certainly there would be no problem but if you have a boarded luggage that also traveled through the plane’s storage you would first have to check out a trolley but inserting some change into a machine labeled with the latter equipment and once you have this you could collect your bag and march out towards a potential cab or towards any other transportation for that matter.

To move freely within the airport there are specific signs all across the terminal market in three specific colors, the signs that are labeled in yellow are related to places that are for the official business of the airport for instance airport immigration counter, TSA official offices and many other airport service providing institution. The other two color codes placed for signs namely black and green are for unofficial issues such as lavatory guidance and also directions to snack bars while the latter ones are issues for guidance and a possible route towards an exit from the airport itself.

Once you are out of the airport you can pick up any facility that you would want to access for specific transportation. By means of expense the subway is probably the most cheapest while a helicopter service is only for the VIPs. Other than these two, the general cab/taxi and a bus service is also duly available.
