National San Diego International Airport Airport
San Diego International Airport (SAN) is located nearby to the city centre of San Diego, in the American state of California. It is amongst the busiest thirty airports in the country, as it handles almost seventeen million passengers per annum, and has in the past, been rated as one of the best airports in the world in the category of airports handling 15 to 20 million passengers. It has all the facilities its passengers require, including several San Diego International Airport car hire companies, which all offer a wide selection of vehicles for leisure and business travel purposes. National Car Hire is one of these companies, and is mainly used by business travellers.
This American airport consists of three terminal buildings, two of which have a significant number of airline gates, while the third is a building with just four airline gates, and is used for all flights between San Diego and Los Angeles. It is referred to as the Commuter Terminal. Terminal 1 is home to a number of airline companies, and Terminal 2 is used for international flights. Passengers arriving at the airport will find facilities such as currency exchange services, ATMs, lost and found offices and accessible restrooms at their disposal, and will be able to reach the airport’s car hire companies by shuttle bus, as they are located within the terminal buildings. The shuttles leave from the centre traffic aisle at Terminal 1 and from the traffic island at the west end of Terminal 2. Both of these terminals feature an East and West side.
In the terminals as well, there are courtesy car rental telephones, which can be used to reach National, and to request a shuttle services, should there not be one available upon your arrival. A vehicle that is equipped with a wheelchair lift can also be requested via these telephones. Alternatively, passengers who require assistance will find the airport volunteers to be extremely helpful. In the future, as part of the airport’s development, a single building is planned that will house all the San Diego International Airport car rental companies, and which will reduce the number of shuttles that are required by passengers.
National is a company with over fifty years of experience in the car hire industry, and have made a good name for themselves amongst corporate clients. It is ideal for anyone who is fond of National’s services, and who would like to save time and money when a rented car is required.
